Privacy notice (POPIA)

Amavulandlela Concepts (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2013/073279/07) is the responsible party for the personal information you give us through this client onboarding portal. What we collect

Your name and contact details; details of your business; the names, ID or passport numbers, nationality and contact details of directors, members, shareholders and beneficial owners; tax and registration numbers; financial information about the business; and the documents you upload. We also record the date, time and internet (IP) address when you sign in and when you accept the engagement letter.

Why we collect it

To open your client file, give you an accurate quote, provide the bookkeeping, tax, payroll and company secretarial services you ask for, meet our legal obligations (for example under the Tax Administration Act), and keep a record of our agreement with you.

Who we share it with

Only with SARS, CIPC, the Department of Employment and Labour, the Central Supplier Database, banks and other authorities where this is needed for your work, or where the law requires it. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing by others.

How we protect it

The portal uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Passwords are stored in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read. Your answers and documents are stored on a secured server in South Africa, outside the public part of the website, and can only be seen by you and by authorised Amavulandlela staff.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are our client and for at least five years after that, as the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@amavulandlela.biz. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za, complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.
